A .455 SIX-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL 'WEBLEY'S No5 EXPRESS', serial no. 1278,
circa 1885, with 5 1/2in. ribbed octagonal barrel, the grooved top-strap signed ARMY & NAVY CSL EXPRESS', white-metal crescent fore-sight, side of frame marked with the calibre '.455' and the model designation on the right, Webley's 'winged bullet' logo on the left, ejector rod mounted on right hand side, fluted cylinder, hinged loading gate, 'bird's-head' butt with chequered walnut grips (replacements) and lanyard loop to base (fair amount of original finish remaining with some flaking, especially to cylinder)
